I was born in Des Moines IA & raised proudly on the Des Moines SouthSide. I've always been interested in the hair/ beauty industry.
I would have to say one of my first memories would be around preschool age. I was supposed to be taking a nap. Instead I was found mid sniper of my bangs after I already took a ginormous chop to my left side. Also my favorite giant stuffed lion didn't have any mane left & either did my mother's ivory fringe pillows, they all got cut!
After that, it was a rap!! All my dolls got frequent haircuts. Don't forget all my friends- this probably started in junior high & high school.

And when I'm not at the salon painting the hairs & slanging my shears, I'm at home with my babies. I have 4= Hendrix, Zeppelin, Jagger & Marley.
We absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE to be outside whenever is possible. Walks or just playing fetch in the back yard.

My time outside of doing hair and my job is mainly spent with my husband, two boys, and my dogs! We love going outside, playing with trucks, or chasing the dogs around our yard. My family brings me so much happiness!

Kayla has been licensed since 2019 & will be working part time behind the chair as she is finishing her undergrad for a Vet Degree.
Growing up in Ankeny, I graduated high school eight months early. Two weeks later, I started cosmetology school. I’ve experienced a lot of things in my life, which led me to an industry where I can help spread kindness, positivity, and help my clients see how beautiful they truly are!
I have a great passion for helping others which is part of why I chose this career initially. However, I am in school full time and working towards becoming a veterinarian when I’m not in the salon.
Aside from hair and school, I love to read, craft, volunteer, and spend time with my amazing family and pets. My two rescue dogs are my entire world!

Hi everyone! I was born and raised in NW Iowa and made my way over to Ames after high school to attend Iowa State. I quickly realized that wasn’t for me. I had worked at a hair salon in my hometown for years and realized I did have an interest in the beauty industry so I decided to give it a try and now I can’t imagine myself doing anything else.
I pride myself on being able to make every experience a memorable one and making others feel great in their own skin and your hair is just the way to do that!

Outside of the salon you can find me at the nearest Target or tj maxx, on my couch binge watching a tv show, visiting family back home, or out somewhere with my closest friends.
